F.A.Q.
What should I bring to my pet’s first appointment?
Please bring any previous medical records, a list of medications, and a recent stool sample if available. For puppies or kittens, include their vaccination records and notes from the breeder or shelter.
How do you support nervous or fearful pets?
Bringing a familiar toy or blanket, covering carriers, and avoiding stressful car rides can help. Our Fear Free Certified team uses treats, soft voices, and gentle handling for nervous pets.
What should I share before a return visit?
Tell us about changes in your pet’s behavior, diet, or medications since your last visit. Even small updates help us tailor care and address any developing health issues promptly.
How do I know if my pet needs medical attention?
Look for vomiting, appetite loss, limping, fatigue, or odd behavior. If anything seems off, call us. We’ll guide you on whether an exam is needed and help determine next steps for care.
Is there anything else I should know before visiting?
Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time for check-in, especially if you’re a new client. Bringing pets on a leash or in a secure carrier helps keep everyone safe in the lobby.
What vaccines are required or recommended?
Dogs typically receive rabies, distemper, and parvovirus vaccines. Cats usually get rabies and FVRCP, which protects against upper respiratory viruses and panleukopenia. Others depend on lifestyle.
How long does a typical appointment take?
Most visits last about 20 to 30 minutes. Wellness exams and vaccines are quick, while appointments for illness, diagnostics, or ongoing treatment may take more time depending on needs.
Do you take pet insurance or offer financing?
We accept most major pet insurance providers and offer CareCredit. Payment is due at the time of service, and we accept debit cards and all major credit cards for your convenience.
